8th annual halton eco festival

Displays by environmentally friendly businesses and services and environmental groups.
Workshops, video presentations, children’s area, food. GreenTrans will have a booth.
Admission is free. The Glen Abbey Rec Centre is located on Third Line north of the QEW. Accessible by Bus 28 (Glen Abbey North), which runs hourly from the Oakville GO station on Saturdays. There will also be a shuttle bus running from the Bronte GO station directly to the event. Please note that GO trains now run to Bronte GO on weekends.

summer fun bus day for kids

Free event for children and their caregivers!
The event will be held in the parking lot by the south entrance to Sheridan College (Ceremonial Drive). Bus 20 and 24 will be using this entrance during the summer, so you can take a bus to the event! Parking also available.
Event partners include the Town of Oakville, Oakville Transit, GO Transit, Sheridan College, and GreenTrans.
Volunteers needed to assist with activities for children. Volunteer hours will be given to high school students. Please email info@greentrans.org if interested.

GreenTrans at Kerr Village Organic Farmers Market

Visit GreenTrans at Oakville’s organic farmers’ market. GreenTrans will be promoting Car Free Day. (See below.) Come to the market by bicycle and get a free tune-up! GreenTrans has arranged to have Cyclepath staff on hand from 9:00
a.m. to 12:00 noon. Talk with the mechanic and with GreenTrans members about
cycling, and get your bike ready for Car-Free Day on Monday, September 22!
Information will be available about the effects of smog and how you can be car-free. The market is in the public square on Kerr Street one block south of Stewart Street, and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Accessible by bus 15 or 17.

oakville santa claus parade

Take the Santa Shuttle to the parade!
Avoid parking hassles and park and ride for free at the Oakville GO station. Two shuttle buses will run between the Oakville GO and downtown Oakville.
Or avoid the traffic altogether and take Oakville Transit all the way. Some bus routes are altered during the parade. For information on how to get to the parade by bus, visit www.oakvillesantaclausparade.ca.
